Resources is what the colony is made of and can be dug out by Duplicants or pumped through Liquid Pipe installations. They are mostly used to construct Structures and to maintain the colony.
Resources have a type and associated properties that define how the Duplicants can use and interact with them.

List of Resources by Type

Raw Mineral

Raw Mineral is one of the types of Resources. They are used for some Buildings, especially pipes and some tiles.

Electrum Electrum Electrum is a conductive Metal alloy composed of gold and silver. 2
Gold Amalgam Gold Amalgam A conductive amalgam of gold and mercury. 2
Iron Ore Iron Ore (Fe) A soft Metal that can be strengthened for industrial purposes via smelting. 4
Pyrite Pyrite (FeS2) Pyrite is a conductive Metal.
Also known as "Fool's Gold".
4.5
Wolframite Wolframite (Tungsten) ((Fe,Mn)WO4) A dense Metallic element in a Solid state. 15

Agricultural

Icon Name Description
Fertilizer Fertilizer A processed mixture of biological nutrients. Fertilizer aids in the growth of some Plants (Bristle Blossom, Mealwood and Sleet Wheat).
Phosphorite Phosphorite A composite of sedimentary rock, saturated with phosphate. Found in the toxic biome. Fertilizer for Pincha Pepper.

Cultivable Soil

Icon Name Description
Dirt Dirt A soft, nutrient-rich substance capable of supporting life. Necessary in some forms of food production, research, outhouses. Used in planter boxes. Byproduct of steaming polluted water.
Clay Clay A soft, naturally occurring composite of stone and soil that hardens at high Temperatures. Used in terrariums, planters. Created by air deodorizers.

Seed

Seeds are obtained by uprooting, harvesting plants, or digging up buried objects.

Icon Name Description
File:Blossom Seed Blank.png Blossom Seed This plant produces edible Bristle Berries.
File:Briar Seed Blank.png Briar Seed This plant improves Decor.
File:Mealwood Seed Blank.png Mealwood Seed This plant produces edible Meal Lice.
File:Pincha Pepper Seed Blank.png Pincha Pepper Seed This plant produces Pincha Peppernut spices.
File:Sleet Wheat Grain Blank.png Sleet Wheat Grain This plant produces edible Sleet Wheat Grain.
File:Thimble Reed Seed Blank.png Thimble Reed Seed This plant produces Reed Fiber.
File:Wheezewort Seed Blank.png Wheezewort Seed This plant absorbs Heat.

Organic

Icon Name Description
Algae Algae A cluster of non-motile, single-celled lifeforms. Algae can be used as a renewable source of oxygen when domesticated.
File:Polluted Dirt Item.png Polluted Dirt A Disease infected amalgam of toxic waste. Created by duplicants in outhouses when they use dirt while on pooping mission, the Water Purifier, and when rotten food decays. Emits contaminated oxygen over time.
Slime Slime A thick biomixture of algae, fungi, and mucopolysaccharides. It emits Polluted Oxygen when dug or excreted by a Puft.

Consumable Ore

Icon Name Description
Coal Coal A combustible fossil fuel composed chiefly of carbon. Coal is useful in energy production.
Oxylite Oxylite (Ir3O2) A chemical compound that slowly emits breathable oxygen. Increases oxygen output when excavated, but loses mass and depletes more rapidly.
Bleach Stone Bleach Stone An unstable compound that emits toxic Chlorine gas. Used in hand sanitizer.

Filtration medium

Icon Name Description
Sand Sand A composite of granular rock. Used as filtering material in deodorizers and purifiers to get rid of pollutants.

Liquifiable

Icon Name Description
Ice Ice (H2O) Clean water, frozen into a Solid state.
Polluted Ice Polluted Ice Polluted Ice is Disease infested Water frozen into a solid state.
Snow Snow (H2O) Snow is a mass of loose, crystalline ice particles.

It becomes water when melted.

Special

Icon Name Description
Neutronium Neutronium (Nt)A mysterious and extremely resilient Metallic element. Cannot be excavated by any Duplicant mining tool.

Liquid

Icon Name Description
File:Water-icon.png Water (H2O) Clean water, suitable for consumption.
Polluted Water Polluted Water Disease infested Water, not fit for consumption. It can be piped into a Water Purifier or heated up into Steam then cooled to condensate to turn back into clean water.
Magma Magma A red, hot, high viscosity liquid found at bottom of map. Melts surroundings, transferring heat converts it into igneous rock. Can be used to create steam, gold, etc.
Phosphorus ?

Breathable Gas

Icon Name Description
File:Oxygen-icon.png Oxygen (O2) An atomically lightweight and breathable gas, necessary for sustaining life. Oxygen tends to rise above other gases but below Hydrogen.
Polluted Oxygen Polluted Oxygen (O2) A vehicle of airborne Disease. It can be cleaned with an air deodorizer or the pollutants can be removed by cooling the gas until it becomes liquid oxygen.

Unbreathable Gas

Icon Name Description
Carbon Dioxide Carbon Dioxide (CO2) A toxic, atomically heavy chemical compound in a gaseous state. Carbon dioxide tends to sink below other gases.
Chlorine Chlorine (Cl2) An extremely toxic chemical in a gaseous state. It currently has no purpose as a resource (liquid chlorine can be used as water-lock or in showers). It is a heavy gas that will sink below other gases except CO2. As CO2 builds up in your base, any chlorine present will rise above it, potentially harming your duplicants.
Hydrogen Hydrogen (H2) The universe's most common and atomically light element in a gaseous state. It can be piped into a hydrogen generator for power. Hydrogen is a very light gas that will rise above all other gases.
File:Mercury Gas.png Mercury Gas (Hg) Mercury is a toxic Metal heated into a Gaseous state.
Natural Gas Natural Gas is a mixture of various alkanes in a Gaseous state. It is useful in Power production.
Steam ?
Vacuum ?
