Metabolism

Metabolism (introduced in Ranching Upgrade Mark II) controls how fast a critter gets hungry.

The metabolism of a critter can be viewed in its "Properties" tab.

If its metabolism is at 100%, a critter will eat its diet as stated in the in-game tooltips (e.g. a Hatch will eat 140 kg per cycle). If its metabolism is below 100%, it will eat less (or less often) - and thus produce less resources. For example, a wild hatch (metabolism: 25%) will eat its 140 kg only every 4 cycles and thus only produces its 70 kg of coal only every 4 cycles.

Modifiers[ | ]

These metabolism modifiers exist in the game:

  • Wild: +25%
  • Tame: +100%
  • Baby: -90%
  • Glum: -80%
