Forest Biome is the starting Biome in several Asteroid Types, usually coming together with Rust Biome too. Compared to the Temperate Biome, the Forest Biome is drier with fewer deposits of Water. Aluminum Ore also replaces Copper Ore as the early-game metal.

There are no liquids in baseline generation. The Water in Forest Biome is generated by terrain features.

Small Water Lake[ | ]
A Water lake surrounded by Oxygen, Dirt, Igneous Rock, Aluminum Ore.
Single guaranteed Hatch[ | ]
While the Forest Biome doesn't feature Hatches, a single one is guaranteed at a specific location.
Variants[ | ]
Start[ | ]
The Start variant of Forest Biome contains Oxylite to provide Oxygen in early game. It also has more Aluminum Ore.
Besides the Small Water Lake feature, the Start variant has additional features.
Oxyfern Cave[ | ]
An Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide room surrounded by Igneous Rock and Dirt. There are four Oxyferns planted in the room.
Phosphorite Deposit[ | ]
A Phosphorite deposit with some Carbon Dioxide.
Mini Water[ | ]
The Mini Water variant has a guaranteed Small Water Lake feature in the center.
Mini Oxygen[ | ]
The Mini Oxygen variant contains Oxylite. It has the Phosphorite Deposit feature.
Mini Metal[ | ]
The Mini Metal variant contains more Aluminum Ore.
Start Hot[ | ]
The Start Hot variant is same as Start variant except that its temperature is around 30 °C.
Mini Water Hot[ | ]
The Mini Water Hot variant is same as Mini Water variant except that its temperature is around 30 °C.
Mini Oxygen Hot[ | ]
The Mini Oxygen Hot variant is same as Mini Oxygen variant except that its temperature is around 30 °C.
Mini Metal Hot[ | ]
The Mini Metal Hot variant is same as Mini Metal variant except that its temperature is around 30 °C.
Hot[ | ]
The Hot variant is same as base version except that its temperature is around 30 °C.
It has the Small Wate Lake feature.
Frozen[ | ]
The Frozen variant has additional Snow element. Its temperature is around -30 °C.
It has the Small Frozen Lake feature.
